Welcome to Vibes4Tribes. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how Vibes 4 Tribes, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our mobile application (the "Service").
This Privacy Policy is not a contract and does not create any legal rights. By using our Service, you acknowledge and consent to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
1. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide to Us:
Account Information: When you create an account, you provide us with personal information, including your username, email address, and birthdate. You may also add a profile picture and other profile details.
User Content: We collect content you create on the Service, such as vibes, chat messages (in-tribe and vibe-specific), and photos or comments you upload to Vibe Day Galleries.
Communications: If you contact us directly (e.g., for support), we may receive additional information about you, such as your name and the contents of your message.
Device Permissions: With your permission, we may access your device's Contacts (to help you find friends) or Calendar (for future integrations). You can revoke these permissions at any time.
b. Information We Collect Automatically:
Usage Data: We collect information about your activity on the Service, such as which vibes you join, which tribes you interact with, and your search history.
Location Information: With your permission, we collect your device's location information. We use this when you set a location for a Vibe, which is powered by services like the Google Places API.
Device Information: We collect information about your mobile device, including device model, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
Log Data: Our servers automatically record information, including your IP address, app version, and crash data when you use the Service.
c. Information from Third Parties:
Social Logins: If you log in using a third-party service (like Google), we receive information from that service as permitted by their policies.
Payment Processors: When you purchase premium services, our third-party payment processor will collect payment information. We do not store your full credit card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
Improve, personalize, and expand the Service.
Understand and analyze how you use the Service.
Communicate with you, including for customer support, updates, and marketing.
Process Your Transactions: To bill you for premium services and subscriptions.
Provide Personalized Insights: To generate features like the "Year-End Report."
Safety and Security: Implement safety features, such as blocking users, reporting content, and monitoring for violations of our Terms of Use.
Find and prevent fraud.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your Personal Information to any third parties.
Your information is shared in the following ways:
Your profile information (username, profile picture) is visible to members of your Tribes.
Vibe details (description, location) are shared with the specific Tribe(s) you select.
Chat Messages: Your messages are shared based on the chat channel:
"By Vibe" Gallery: Photos you upload to a specific vibe's gallery are visible to all other users who were part of that specific vibe.
"By Tribe" Gallery: Photos you upload will also be aggregated and displayed in a collective gallery for the associated Tribe. This means your photos may be visible to all members of that Tribe, even those who did not participate in the specific vibe.
Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, database management, analytics).
Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court, government request, or legal proceeding).
Safety and Rights: We may disclose information to protect against misuse, limit our legal liability, or protect the safety and rights of our users or the public.
Business Transfers: Your information may be transferred to another entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. If this happens, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the app.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, log files, and other tracking technologies (like Firebase and Google Analytics) to collect and store information. These help us:
Understand app usage trends.
Diagnose problems and improve the Service.
Track user movements and gather demographic information.
You can typically control cookies through your device or browser settings, but please note that if you disable cookies, some features of the Service may not function properly.
5. Data Security
We have implemented commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information. However, please be aware that no method of data transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic data storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We make no warranty—express, implied, or otherwise—that we will prevent unauthorized access to your information.
6. Data Retention
We will retain your Personal Information for as long as is reasonably necessary for our business operations (such as maintaining your account) and to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required to comply with our legal obligations.
7. User Safety: Blocking & Reporting
As described in our Terms of Use, you may report users for violating our policies. When a report is submitted, we automatically block the reported user on your behalf. We collect and store information related to these reports and blocks to enforce our policies.
8. Your Data Rights & Controls
You have control over your personal information:
Profile: You can access and edit your profile information at any time.
Content: You have the ability to delete content you have personally uploaded, such as photos in a Vibe Day Gallery.
Blocked Users: You can manage your list of blocked users from within the "Settings" screen.
Device Permissions: You can manage permissions for Location, Contacts, and Calendar from your device's settings.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time from the "Settings" screen. (See our Terms of Use for details on content visibility after termination).
9. Your Privacy Rights (State-Specific)
a. California Residents (CCPA): If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:
The right to know: What Personal Information we have collected, used, and disclosed about you.
The right to delete: You can request that we delete your Personal Information.
The right to opt-out: As stated, we do not sell your Personal Information, so there is no need to opt-out.
The right to non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights. To exercise these rights, please contact us at hello@vibes4tribes.com.
b. "Do Not Track" (DNT): Because there is not yet an accepted standard for how to respond to Do Not Track signals, we do not currently respond to them.
c. Users Outside the United States (GDPR): If you are a user in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK), you have certain rights, including:
The right to access: You can request a copy of your personal data.
The right to rectification: You can request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
The right to erasure: You can request that we delete your personal data.
The right to restrict processing: You can request that we limit the use of your data.
The right to data portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format. To exercise these rights, please contact us. Our Service is hosted in the United States, and by using it, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the U.S.

Vibes4Tribes is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
